Dhow Rides 

It’s definitely worth taking a dhow trip around the Inhambane Bay.  These boats have been used for centuries and their captains are very experienced.  Various trips are on offer depending on your budget, weather conditions and available time.  A trip across the bay to nearby Maxixe should cost about 20,000 Meticais and a full sight seeing trip for the complete hire of the boat about 400,000 Mets (this equates to approx. R120). 

It’s a good idea to negotiate the rate inclusive of your car security, payment being made once you return and find all is in order.  Vehicles can be parked in the main street next to the quayside.
