For the angler, whether he is a fly fisherman, game fisherman or surf fisherman, the area offers excellent opportunities. 

Large kingfish are often taken off the rocks on the beach by surf and fly fishermen.  Poppers have a high success rate. 

There is a local fisherman with a homemade rod and reel that regularly lands giant kingfish of over 20kg. 

For the game fishermen whether of a paddle ski or ski boat, the deep channel in front of the local reef produces fine catches. 

As with all fishing there is a lot of skill, luck and patience involved.  I’m not sure in what proportions but I do know it’s no good sitting at your chalet admiring the view when you should have your rod in the water!
